About Moore Education
Crystal A. Moore launched Moore Education, an educational services business, in 2003 to meet the educational needs of African American youth. Over the last two decades, Moore Education has worked on a number of projects, including new school design, community school development, individualized instructional plans, quantitative research on school diversity, and equity recommendations for an independent school. Most recently, Crystal served as the Director of Organizational Leadership and Development for Magnet Schools of America. During her tenure at MSA, she was responsible for developing the first set of national standards for magnet schools and designing a magnet school certification process. Crystal also provided technical assistance to schools and districts looking to improve the quality, diversity, and equity of their magnet programs. Prior to joining MSA, Crystal worked for the School District of Philadelphia, DC Public Schools, and Wireless Generation (now Amplify Education, a division of NewsCorp).

Crystal’s methodology for coaching individuals and groups is quite similar to the one she uses with schools and nonprofit organizations:
get clear about the present,
envision the future, and
make a plan.
With organizations, the focus is on collecting and analyzing quantitative data; individuals and groups focus on emotions and human interactions.
