Community Yoga on the MBT
I am excited to announce plans for the 5th summer of free community yoga classes on the Metropolitan Branch Trail. Once again, I will be partnering with the DC Road Runners Club to offer outdoor yoga classes. This All Levels class will accommodate every yogi, from beginner to advanced. We begin at 6:30 PM on Tuesdays. More details to come.
Community Yoga on the MBT will be an ALL LEVELS class that can accommodate every yogi, from beginner to advanced. It is designed for everyone who has ever wanted to give yoga a try, but wasn't sure if they were the type to do yoga. The practice of yoga stimulates growth in the mind, body, and soul. These benefits are available to all--regardless of age, gender, body size, shape or type.
For thousands of years, yoga has been practiced as a way to build strength and flexibility in the physical body as well as the mind, while offering a heightened connection to the Divine. It's also great for those recovering from illness, injury, or pregnancy--and trying to return to their fitness routines in a safe manner. The use of manual adjustments, modifications, and props will make virtually every posture accessible, as your body stretches and strengthens over time.
I am partnering with the DC Road Runners Club to offer a FREE weekly, outdoor community yoga class on the Metropolitan Branch Trail. The MBT is very accessible. You can bike, run, walk or drive to the trail. On street parking available.
In case of inclement weather, classes will be moved indoors to Luke C. Moore High School (1001 Monroe Street NE). Check the Met Branch Trail Facebook page for updates.
