A Life Transformation Workshop
In the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, we learn there are eight ways (or limbs) by which we can practice yoga: yama (abstinence), niyama (observance), asana (posture), pranayama (breath control), pratyahara (sense withdrawal), dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi (total spiritual awakening, or bliss). In each Awaken Your Soul Yoga workshop, Crystal combines these eight disciplines to heighten one’s ability to connect with the Divine that lives within each of us and tap into our deepest desires and find the power and motivation for lasting change.
Each day presents numerous choices for our lives. We can choose to remain in the same place, or we can move in a new direction. About Crystal
A long-time DC resident, Crystal Moore has been a professional educator for more than a decade. Beginning as an elementary school teacher, she began training teachers to help them improve in the classroom. Crystal brings this profound understanding of humans as learners to the yoga mat, where she helps her students embrace their bodies and grow in their power and grace. Acute illness first brought Crystal to her mat; her encounters with the divine keep her coming back. Yoga has provided her with an abundance of faith in the power to transform the mundane into something extraordinary.
In 2009, Crystal Moore took stock of her life, and realized she wasn't happy with any of it (including her home, her job, and the city in which she lived). Crystal set some goals for the year and began taking steps toward them. By the end of the year, she had a new job and new apartment in a new city with a bunch of new friends. In this four-part series, Crystal will lead you through the exercises she did to identify her goals, take action, and see them through to completion. If you choose to join her on this journey, your live will be transformed in just three months.
